YCH Saturday Social 22/01/22

I’d just like to say a massive thank you to everybody who came along for our first YCH Saturday Social of 2022…slightly delayed but well worth the wait!

The Yorkshire sun was shining bright throughout, meaning we could really take our time to enjoy the epic views of Fryup and beyond…

As always we began at the Hub, making our way through Little Fryup Dale to Head House Farm. We then cut across Glaisdale moor via one of our favourite sections of singletrack, negotiating through the boggy bits on the climb to Glaisdale Rigg where the scenery was glorious.

Speeding our way down into Glaisdale village, we climbed up through Lealholm Side to Danby Beacon where Phil shared the wealth of his bag of Squishies to keep the energy up!

A fun moorland descent dissected us to Oakley Walls and Houlsyke, where we rejoined the bridleway back through Little Fryup Dale and to the finish line at the Hub.

A great ride out to blow off the Christmas and New Year’s cobwebs, with several new and familiar faces, followed by a right good feed in our Great Fryup Dale Cafe where we enjoyed Fryups, burgers, lasagne and plenty of tea and coffee!

We can’t wait to see you all for the next one which, all being well, shall be the same time in two weeks!
